Suryakumar Yadav gives a massive indication to BCCI after being ignored in team India’s ODI set-up

T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav, along with Shivam Dube, has been included in the 18-member squad of Mumbai for the Ranji Trophy quarterfinal featuring Haryana, commencing from February 8. Suryakumar and Dube brought in the experience of participating in the recently-concluded five-match T20I series between India and England, where the hosts managed to win with a score of 4-1. They have both played one game for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy title defense this season. Mumbai reached the quarterfinals with an innings and 456-run victory over Meghalaya, with Jammu and Kashmir qualifying from Elite Group A.

Suryakumar was part of the Mumbai side that faced Maharashtra in October, while Dube was on the star-studded hosts’ side that had India Test and ODI skipper Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal, and was defeated by Janki Jammu and Kashmir last month at home.

Mumbai, who is the 42 time winner of the trophy, moves to Rohtak where they play Haryana, the toppers of Group C, at Chaudhary Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Lahli.

The rest of the squad comprises uncapped Harsh Tanna, who has played a total of four List A matches.
