Super Breaking: Suresh Raina Announced Retirement From All Format Of The Game, Leaves An Emotional Message

One of the best middle-order batsmen of India and the biggest match winner for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League, Suresh Raina has announced his retirement from all formats of the game.

On the 15th of August, 2020, Raina announced his retirement from international cricket following his teammate and closest friend ever MS Dhoni. However, after that, he missed IPL 2020 due to Bio-Bubble fatigue but he played IPL 2021 where Chennai Super Kings lifted the trophy for the 4th time under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.

Raina announced his retirement on his official Twitter handle, where he wrote: “It has been an absolute honor to represent my country & state UP. I would like to announce my retirement from all formats of Cricket. I would like to thank @BCCI, @UPCACricket, @ChennaiIPL, @ShuklaRajiv

sir & all my fans for their support and unwavering faith in my abilities.”

In IPL, Raina has played 205 matches and he has 5528 runs under his belt. During this, he has smashed 39 fifties and a Hundred. He also captained Gujarat Lions and took them to qualifiers. He mostly played for CSK where fans gave him the ownership of ‘China Thala’, he was the most loved cricketer across the globe and even former South African legend Jonty Rhodes claimed him as the best fielder of world cricket.
