According to Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, KL Rahul has been enjoying himself a lot more on the field after coming to Delhi Capitals for his T20 trips since the IPL 2025. While speaking with Suniel, he himself said that he really liked Rahul’s my ground celebration which went on to become popular just a couple of months ago, when he helped win the match with Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Ahead of the match between Delhi and the Kolkata Knight Riders, Suniel mentioned he even called Rahul to tell him just how much he enjoyed that moment in Bengaluru. I just loved it! Even now, it gives me goosebumps. He further believes that every player should be a part of such a moment. He believes he can do it, and he’s proven that, Suniel said, noted that he reached out to Rahul to clarify how important that was for him.
He pointed out that after the end of the World Cup and World Test Championship, Rahul proved himself that he could finish games and seriously believes in himself. In fact, at this IPL 2025 season, Rahul appears to be letting himself loose after leaving Lucknow Super Giants, who made him feel a great deal overburdened the previous year.
In that match, he scored 93 off 53 balls but had opened up. Rahul clearly adjusted his game according to the requirements-and played aggressively when asked to do so. He has scored an impressive 364 runs in 9 matches at a staggering strike rate of 146, which is the best for him since 2018. He once stated that for T20, strike rates do not matter much, but has realized now that it is more about hitting big and somehow not having to bother to play without the worry of failure. Strong performance during IPL 2025 will be overshadowed by a good run with the Indian national team, including winning the Champion’s Trophy earlier this year.
