Sunil Gavaskar drops massive warning to news websites, due to this reason

Sunil Gavaskar, the famous Indian cricketer, has noticed that some sports sites and social media accounts are putting words in his mouth. He’s warning fans to watch out for this fake info online.

Gavaskar posted a video on Instagram addressing this. He’s been covering the current Test series between England and India. He didn’t name the specific quotes or who’s spreading the lies.

I’ve seen over the past few months that many sports websites and personal accounts are saying I said things I never did. Please double-check everything and don’t trust everything you read, especially from these accounts and sites, Gavaskar said.

Gavaskar’s warning is getting a lot of attention, especially after Rishabh Pant’s century in the first Test. Gavaskar joked and made up a new line to celebrate Pant’s feat after changing his words about pant in the Melbourne Test against Australia.

The former cricketer also didn’t hide his feelings about renaming the Pataudi Trophy to the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. He was annoyed that Sachin’s name wasn’t first because he thinks Sachin was the better player overall.

The ex-cricketer hopes the Indian team can recover from their big loss to England in the first Test at Headingley, even though Pant, Shubman Gill, and Yashasvi Jaiswal all scored centuries in the first outing. Gavaskar also wasn’t impressed with the Indian bowlers’ performance at Leeds.

Except for Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian bowlers were pretty bad. It’s uncertain if they can handle the pressure if Bumrah doesn’t play in the second Test at Birmingham. If their main fast bowler is out, Shubman Gill will definitely face a leadership challenge.
