Still RCB Can Qualify For The Playoffs. Check Out The Full Equations

Five teams are playing in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). Four teams have won one or the other. Still, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) account has yet to be opened. Despite having star players like Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Heather Knight, Sophie Devine, Megan Schutt, and Renuka Singh Thakur, RCB is yet to open their winning account in this tournament. Now it is difficult for them to reach the Eliminator, but not impossible.

RCB lost by 60 runs against Delhi Capitals in the first match. After that, Mumbai Indians defeated them by nine wickets. Gujarat Giants beat RCB by 11 runs, UP Warriors by 10 wickets, and Delhi Capitals by six wickets. RCB is at the bottom of the points table. Their hopes of making it to the next round are slowly fading away, but the team can still make it to the Eliminator.

To stay in the top-3 teams, they will have to depend on the results of other teams apart from winning the remaining matches. The top team in the Women’s Premier League will directly qualify for the final. The second and third-placed teams will play in the Eliminator. The winner of the eliminator match will clash with the table topper in the finals.

Equations for RCB to reach into the finals:-

  1. RCB will have to win all their remaining three matches.
  2. RCB would like Delhi Capitals to win their remaining three matches.
  3. However, they need Mumbai Indians to win the rest of their matches except the match against RCB.
  4. RCB must also pray that Gujarat Giants beat UP Warriors. If the Gujarat team loses against Mumbai and Delhi after defeating UP, then it will have only four points. On the other hand, if UP loses all its remaining matches, then it will also have four points. In such a situation, RCB will go ahead with six points after winning all three matches.
