Team India played the last match of this year against Bangladesh where they clinched a three-wicket victory in the second test played at Shere Bangla Stadium Dhaka.
Team India will now host Sri Lanka for a limited overs series but the squad has not been announced yet. However it seems that Hardik Pandya will be leading the T20 side as the major hint for the all-rounder has been given by the broadcasting channel star sports.
The outgoing selection committee headed by Chetan Sharma has the responsibility to pick the team for the limited-over series but star sports has mistakenly revealed the name of the captain.
On Sunday(December 25) evening, Star Sports posted a video on the twitter for the upcoming Sri Lanka series and where they captioned “Hardik Raj”, and at the end of the Video the poster of Sri Lankan caption Dasun Shanaka on one side and Hardik Pandya on the other side was showed by them.
The caption fully read, “@hardikpandya7 is ready to kick-start the New Year with a bang against the Asian T20I Champions! #BelieveInBlue & get ready to witness some action from this new #TeamIndia under the Hardik ‘Raj’ Mastercard #INDvSL series | Starts Jan 3 | Star Sports & Disney+Hotstar.” They later deleted the tweet.
