Sri Lanka played its last match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 against England where they got a defeat of four wickets and ended their world cup journey with disappointment.
The disappointment has now become even more shameful as Sri Lanka batter Danushka Gunathilaka who was ruled out from the tournament due to injury has now been arrested for doing an immoral act.
According to some close sources, Gunathilaka has been arrested in Sydney for rape charges on him. The incident happened yesterday when Sri Lanka was playing their last group game against England in Sydney.
The batter got injured three weeks ago and Ashen Bandara came into the squad as his replacement. However, even after the injury the management kept him with them without sending him to Sri Lanka.
It has also been known that today Sri Lankan team took the flight for their home country without Danushka Guntahilaka.
