SRH vs MI, IPL 2024: In Raining Sixes And Fours, SRH Beat MI By 31 Runs

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) showcased exceptional performance in the eighth match of the IPL 2024. In this match, a total of 523 runs were scored from both the teams which is now a new record in T20 cricket.

At the last, Pat Cummins’ SRH emerged victorious with a 31-run margin over Hardik Pandya’s MI in the eighth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL), hosted at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday, March 27th.

While chasing the target of 278 runs, the visiting team showed commendable resilience, yet fell short, managing to reach only 246/5.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batsmen unleashed an onslaught, catapulting the team to a historic total of 277/3, surpassing the tournament record. This milestone eclipsed the previous record held by Royal Challengers Bangalore, who scored 263/5 against Pune Warriors India in 2013.

For SRH, Heinrich Klaasen got the maximum 80 runs in just 34 balls while Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head scored 63 runs and 62 runs respectively.

For Mumbai Indians, Tilak Varma(64 in 34 balls) and Tim David 42 from 22 balls tried hard to pull out the things for Mumbai but they eventually failed and Mumbai ended at the defeated size.
