SRH Creates History, Smashed The Highest Score Of The IPL Tournament

Sunrisers Hyderabad batter dominated the RCB bowlers at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday, April 15th. They scored the highest-ever total in IPL history, getting 287 runs. Travis Head, Heinrich Klaasen, and later Abdul Samad played exceptionally well as SRH took full advantage of the favorable batting conditions against the hosts.

SRH made this record against RCB soon after they set a new record for the highest-ever total in the tournament. Just a few days ago, on March 27th against MI, SRH had scored 277 runs, but that record was broken in less than three weeks. Despite RCB captain Faf du Plessis inviting Pat Cummins’ side to bat first, they couldn’t perform well as SRH dominated the game from start to finish.

Travis Head started the innings strongly by scoring a century in just 39 balls. Once Head got out after scoring 102 runs from 41 balls, Heinrich Klaasen took responsibility and continued his good form. Klaasen scored 67 runs from 31 balls.

SRH’s score of 287/3 is the second-highest ever in T20 cricket. The highest total in T20 cricket was achieved by Nepal, who scored 314/3 against Mongolia in the 2023 Asian Games.

In this match a total of 22 sixes were slammed by the SRH batter which is also a record by any team in the history of IPL.
