Sourav Ganguly survived a massive car accident, no harm to the former Indian captain

Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly met with an accident last night, February 20, while driving to Burdwan for an event. The incident happened on the Durgapur Expressway at Dantanpur

Ganguly was sitting in his Range Rover, which met with an accident because a lorry overtook Ganguly’s convoy on the expressway, which led to the driver applying the brakes. This caused the follow-up cars in Ganguly’s convoy to collide into each other.

Fortunately, no one was hurt or killed in the incident. However, it is said that the speed of Ganguly’s car was not exceedingly high, but the driver’s rapid action saved the day. Two vehicles in Ganguly’s convoy sustained minor damages, while the former cricketer had to wait on the road for about 10 minutes before proceeding to Burdwan for his scheduled event.

Ganguly had to go to Burdwan University; he interacted with students and dignitaries at an event where he talked about the future of Indian cricket and shared anecdotes from his acclaimed career.

Not long ago, Ganguly was spotted with the Delhi Capitals squad in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). He has been with the Capitals across several T20 leagues like the IPL, WPL, and ILT20. Ganguly is credited for Dubai Capitals winning the International League T20 (ILT20) earlier this month in the franchise’s first T20 league triumph while serving in an administrative role. He also worked as the BCCI President and in October was appointed the Director of Cricket at JSW Sports.
