Smith Scored 16 Runs In One Ball In The Big Bash League Against Vs. Hobart Hurricanes

The Big Bash League (BBL) is currently going on in Australia. On 23rd January, the Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Sixers played a match. All eyes of fans were on in form Steve Smith. Smith scored 66 runs off 33 balls with six sixes and four fours. Earlier, Smith had played century innings on two consecutive occasions of BBL.

A shocking incident happened in the second over of the Sydney Sixers innings when Smith scored 16 runs on just one ball. This incident happened on the third ball of the second over of the first innings; Steve Smith was on strike at that time. Smith hit a six off Joel Paris and a no-ball, due to which a total of seven runs were added.

Paris then bowled a wide, which went for a four to the final leg. Till now, 12 runs have been scored, and the second ball was not completed. The free-hit was sustained due to the wide, and Smith sent the ball for fours. Smith also hit a four on the fourth ball of the over. Overall, 21 runs were scored in that over.

Smith’s current form is a matter of concern for Team India. India has to play a four-match Test series against Australia in February-March, where Smith can be a headache for the Indian team. Smith has a great record in Test cricket against India and scored eight hundred, which was three centuries in the last tour.
