“Simple hai funda unka….”Axar Patel makes a bold revelation about Rohit Sharma’s captaincy style

The Indian international all-rounder, Axar Patel has revealed what it is like to be a bowler under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. It can be confirmed that the left-handed batsman spoke positively about his captain and highlighted some of Rohit’s qualities as a leader.

When Axar was interviewed by Vimal Kumar, he noted that Rohit as a skipper likes to keep things straightforward on the ground. But then, he is someone who does his research too before matches.

“Simple funda hai unka. He is not one who enjoys making things complex. He enters after understanding these things. He understands which bowlers are supposed to be used at what time and which ones won’t be used and after that he leaves it all up to the bowlers,” Axar added.

In terms of Rohit’s policy towards his bowlers, Axar declared that the captain prefers not to meddle too much with both the bowlers and their respective settings on fields. Instead, he knows how much skill each bowler has got within them so as optimize when or where to use them instead

Axar maintained that “bowlers are not interfered by him much; yes, he will offer me that without hesitation if I ask him to give it to me because am planning it that way but were it to elude me then he would suggest that perhaps it’s not working.”

He [Axar] has also made it known that he has a very good relationship with Indian captain and they have never disagreed or quarreled.

According to him: “As far/as far as I am concerned we do not argue; we have such a great rapport with him that I have never debated with him nor have I ever had any disagreement.”

Moreover the Indian all-rounder pointed out an important aspect, Rohit doesn’t shy away from trying out something that is rarely used like traditional match-ups which are becoming popular in this format of cricket.

“Rohit does not believe as a captain that lefty can’t bowl to left arm batsman or righty can’t bowl to right arm batsman. This is what denotes leadership; if one can recognize bowler strength and know that this person will rescue you from difficult situations,” he finished off.
