Shubman Gill drops a massive praise for the 14 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi after his phenomenal batting display

Shubman Gill, captain of Gujarat Titans, had to say about the 14-year-old Rajasthan Royals player, Vaibhav Suryavanshi. He was nothing short of fireworks when playing against Gujarat Titans on Monday. Suryavanshi inspired RR to chase down a mammoth target of 210 runs with over four overs remaining, which seemed to perturb the entire contingent, including Gill. During the post-match presentation, Gill affected to comment on Suryavanshi but downplayed it by saying that it was just a lucky day for the young player. “His hitting was incredible, and he made the most of his day,” said Gill after the match.

The comments by Gill were not too nice for former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja. He minded the fact to say that it was luck that played a role in the success of Suryavanshi, as Jadeja said, for this in no way would do justice to the prowess that lay in the heart of the much feted teen. He wanted Gill to note the hard work behind the performance, saying, “For a 14-year-old to have that confidence and go so far, it’s much more than just luck.”

Later, he emphasized such individual acts of Suryavanshi while on the field. He said that making an IPL century against the leading bowlers in the age of 14 is something extraordinary. “We all saw these moments when we were kids, playing cricket, and now something big is being built on top of that. Dreamed about it,” added Jadeja. “He has gone out there and made it a reality.” He will be analyzed a lot and added Jadeja giving credit to the advice from Rahul Dravid and Vikram Rathour, thus coming up with a good foundation for Suryavanshi. He concluded with, “It is the mindset that actually amuses me.”
