Kolkata Knight Riders won a thrilling match against the Gujarat Titans on April 9th in the IPL 2023. The hero of the match Rinku Singh who pulled off an impossible win for KKR had a video call with regular captain Shreyas Iyer along with Nitish Rana. Iyer made a video call to congratulate them.
Shreyas Iyer is suffering from a persistent back issue and has been ruled out from the IPL 2023. He praised Rinku for his outstanding batting performance. Rinku hit five successive sixes in the final over delivered by Yash Dayal and Shreyas praised this unbelievable stuff from Rinku Singh. While replying to Shreyas Iyer’s words’ Rinku Singh said that everything was God’s plan.
The stand-in captain Nitish Rana also joined the conversation and said, “Rinku keh raha tha last year ki tarah chhodunga nahi. Iss bar khatam karke aaunga. (Rinku said he will not leave the task incomplete like last year and will finish it this time.)”
Last year in a match against the Lucknow Super Giants, Rinku played an impressive inning and scored 40 runs in just 15 balls. However, he got out in the last over and Kolkata Knight Riders lost the match by a narrow margin of two runs while chasing a total of 210.
