Shoaib Malik Does Match Fixing In BPL, BCB Terminates His League’s Contract

In a surprising turn of events in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024, Shoaib Malik’s association with Fortune Barishal has been abruptly terminated due to the batter’s being suspected of ‘fixing.’

In a recent match, Shoaib Malik bowled three no-balls in a single over, raising concerns and suspicions of fixing among the fans.

During the match between Barishal and Khulna Tigers on January 22, in which Malik was playing for Barishal, the all-rounder bowled three no-balls in a single over due to overstepping on three occasions. This incident occurred in the fourth over of the innings and raised concerns and suspicions among fans about Malik being involved in some ill activity.

Malik had only bowled one no-ball for overstepping until the fifth ball. However, the last ball of the over-involved two consecutive no-balls, both due to overstepping out of the crease.

Barishal captain Tamim Iqbal was left in shock and he was disappointed with Malik. In the end, Malik conceded 18 runs in the over and was not given the ball again.
