Recently, Shikhar Dhawan opened up about how he tries to stay close to his 11-year-old son Zoraver in a spiritual way since he can’t see him. Dhawan, 39, divorced his ex-wife Aesha Mukherji in October 2023 and lost custody of Zoraver. Although he can visit and connect through video calls, it seems he hasn’t been able to see or talk with Zoraver for a while. Dhawan shared his feelings on the ANI podcast, saying, “It’s been two years since I’ve seen my son and a year since I last spoke to him. It’s tough, but you learn to live with it. I miss him and talk to him spiritually.
He explained, “I feel like I’m in touch with him every day through my thoughts and meditation. It’s the only way I can connect. My sadness won’t help; I try to manifest a positive energy.” Dhawan added, “Sometimes when I meditate, I picture us together, talking and playing.”
Now that his son is 11, Dhawan reflected on how little time he has spent with him, saying, “I’ve only seen him for two and a half years of his life.” When asked what he would do if he got to meet Zoraver, he got emotional, saying, “I would hug him first. I just want to spend time with him and hear what he has to say. Showing him my past games isn’t even on my mind. I want to know him better, and if he gets emotional, I’d cry with him too.
