Shikhar Dhawan blasts Shahid Afridi for his derogatory remarks on pahalgam attack

By former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, Shahid Afridi said something to the Indian army regarding the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu, and Kashmir, which had killed 26 people on April 22. Dhawan did not hold back, taking to social media to call for an end to Afridi’s nonsense while showing his support for the Indian army by pointing out that everyone respects what they do.

This came days ahead of Afridi’s Walla comment aired on a Pakistani television channel, saying that there had been a security lapse leading to the attack and said that the media should have presented it differently. It takes time and then has a challenge to prove that India is in league with Pakistan on it, “We beat you in Kargil. You’ve already sunk so low-how much lower can you go? Instead of making pointless comments, maybe you should focus on improving your country, @SAfridiOfficial. We’re really proud of our Indian Army. Bharat Mata Ki Jai! Jai Hind!” Dhawan said on X, the platform previously known as Twitter.

The Resistance Front responsible for carrying out the attack, announced that it was linked to the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba and has sparked outrage all over India with demands to take action against Pakistan, which is said to harbor terrorists, in connection with the incident. Even more controversially for Afridi, he said that India always blames Pakistan and went on to classify the Pahalgam attack as typical of such incidents. Even if you throw a firecracker here in India, then they blame Pakistan. You’ve got an army of almost 800,000 in occupied Kashmir, yet this happened. That means you can’t protect your people, said during an interview.

Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria also berated Afridi for his insensitivity and advised the Pakistani media not to give him a platform. He balances out everything with extremist attitudes. In my view, he shouldn’t come to Indian television channels or the country. Also, he once tried to get me to convert to Islam and refused to have a meal with me, which I found really disrespectful, Kaneria said in response to Afridi’s remarks.

Intelligence sources claim that the Pakistan army is clearing some terror launch pads in Muzaffarabad, Pakistani occupied Kashmir, and relocating terrorists all over the place to safer places, as it is feared that India will retaliate against Pakistan for the killing of one Indian pilot.
