The rain has been the major concern in ongoing India vs New Zealand ODI series. The third match of the series was going on at Hagley Oval where Rain once again interrupted the match and the game was canceled with New Zealand needing 116 runs to win the match.
During the match, fans observed a shocking sight when Rishabh Pant was seen taking some medical treatment in the dressing room during the first inning of the match. Pant came to bat at number four and he managed to get just 10 runs in 16 balls which includes two fours.
Pant is continuously struggling with the bat in white ball cricket and he has only one century in this format with five test centuries in test cricket.
The leader of the Indian National Congress Shashi Tharoor also came with an alarming tweet for Pant and has asked Sanju Samson to get into the team at least for the white ball cricket.
Tharoor wrote, “One more failure for Pant, who needs a break from white-ball cricket. One more opportunity denied to @IamSanjuSamson who now has to wait for the @IPL to show that he’s one of the best to-order bats in India. #IndvsNZ.”
New Zealand has won this series by 1-0 and Tom Latham who scored a brilliant century in the first game of the series at Auckland was adjudged as a man of the series.
