Shakib Al Hasan’s Long-Awaited Return to the Bangladesh Test Team

Bangladesh have now included their former skipper, Shakib al-Hasan, for the second test against Sri Lanka. Bangladesh lost the first test match against Sri Lanka by a huge margin of 328 runs and are trailing by 0-1 in the two-match series.

The second test match of the series will be played in Chattanooga on March 30.

Shakib Al Hasan has been replaced by Towhid Hridoy and is making his test comeback after a year. Shakib Al Hasan has played Odi and T20 matches for Bangladesh during that period. Lately, Shakib has been struggling with an eye problem.
In spite of that, he was seen playing for Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League. Hasan Mahmud has also come into the squad in place of Musfik Hasan. 

Shakib has recently missed a T-20 and Odi series against Sri Lanka.
He visited an eye specialist in Singapore during the initial stages of the Bangladesh Premier League and missed a few matches for his side.
Shakib Al Hasan has also now entered politics as he participated in the election from the Awami League Party and also won from Maugra Constituency.
