The first ODI between India and Bangladesh is going on at Shere Bangla National Stadium where team India has kept Rishabh Pant out of the playing XI and KL Rahul will act as wicketkeeper for this first ODI.
On the reason for Pant’s exclusion, team management has said that Pant has got some injury and this is the reason he is not there in the first game. However, the BCCI members had found this reason too lame and raised some concerns about Pant’s matter. The Board has said that if Pant was not okay with his fitness then what was the point of adding him into the squad?
Cricinformer wants to inform that Rishabh Pant is now out from the ODI series and if he is likely to return to the team in the two-match test series against Bangladesh.
Rishabh Pant is going very average with his form, especially in limited-overs cricket. His performance in the recently concluded New Zealand series was not up to the mark but still, he got a place for the Bangladesh tour. But as soon as the news came before the first ODI against Bangladesh that Pant has been ruled out of the ODI series due to a back injury, then the team management has come under the scanner.
The question is also raising that if Pant got his back injury on the New Zealand tour then why it was hidden from everyone? According to a reliable source, it is being said that Pant got this injury in Christchurch and it was taken too lightly by the management and the team’s medical staff.
