There is surprising news coming out from the Pakistan National team, former skipper of the national cricket team, Sarfaraz Ahmed has left Pakistan.
As per reports, feeling disheartened and pessimistic about the future, Sarfaraz has chosen to depart from Pakistan. He has relocated to London, United Kingdom, with his wife and two children.
Sources suggest that despite his disappointment about the future, Sarfaraz Ahmed is eager to stay connected with Pakistani cricket. He intends to take part in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9 matches, representing Quetta Gladiators. The wicketkeeper batter has played a significant part in leading the team to victory in two ICC tournaments.
It is known that under Sarfaraz Ahmed’s captaincy, the national team secured victories in the Champions Trophy and Pakistan also won the under-19 World Cup under his captaincy back in 2006.
Ahmed also holds the third spot in the list of most dismissals by a Pakistan wicketkeeper, with 371 dismissals from 232 matches. His last appearance in an ODI was in April 2021 against South Africa in Centurion, and his last T20I was against Bangladesh in November 2021.
