Sanju Samson’s father tore apart KCA due to this reason, Check out

This omission of wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson from the India’s ICC Champions Trophy squad is considered as one amongst the most inexplicable decisions taken by the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee. Even though he has exceptional ODI numbers, the two choosable wicketkeeper-batsmen for the tournament were Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul, so he was not making it to the ODI team. The NSG covering reportedly denied him a place in Kerala’s Vijay Hazare Trophy campaign due to his absence from the state assembly. While Samson insisted he let the KCA know of his nonavailability beforehand, KCA chief Jayesh Jeorge was unimpressed at receiving just a ‘one-line text’ from the wicketkeeper-batter.

“There are elements inside the KCA who have something against my child; we have never spoken against the association earlier. But this time, it became too much. Sanju wasn’t the only one who stayed out of the camp, yet other players in the same situation were allowed to play,” Mathrubhumi English quotes Samson’s father, Viswanath.

Samson’s father seems however keen to re-engage with the apr two clear the air as he doesn’t want him to be out of the list anymore.

This is a small set of people in between who are poisoning the situations. We are sportsmen and have nothing to do with the business of sports. All I want is for my son to get a fair chance to play. If there’s any mistake, we are willing to rectify it with substance,” he stated.

KCA president George said Samson will still have a chance to be selected for the side alighting for the camp.

“Sanju is currently in Kolkata, where he will feature in a match against England. There’s nothing further to be said about this. If he joins the camps, he will once again be in the team for Kerala; if he misses the camp, he will be out,” commented George.
