Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson is performing brilliantly as a player in the current IPL 2023. Even as a captain, Sanju successfully leads his team to continuous victories. Rajasthan is in first place on the points table after winning four out of six matches.
At the same time, after winning the same number of matches, Lucknow Super Giants, captained by KL Rahul, also remains at the second position on the points table. Both KL and Sanju are hit as captains and players.
However, according to former Indian opener Virender Sehwag, Sanju Samson has no match in front of KL Rahul. In a show with Cricbuzz, Virender Sehwag said, “If you are talking about establishing yourself in the Indian team, then I believe that KL Rahul is much better than Sanju Samson in this matter. KL Rahul has played Test cricket and scored century in many countries. In ODIs, KL Rahul has scored runs as an opener and in the middle order. He has also scored runs in T20.”
Sanju Samson has played 11 ODIs and 17 T20 Internationals for India. When he was given regular chances, he could not perform in them. Now he is often seen in the playing eleven only in the absence of big cricketers in international cricket.
Sanju made his international debut at 20 with a match against Zimbabwe. 28-year-old Sanju Samson is doing consistently well in the IPL. He is also successful as a captain in IPL.
KL has played 45 matches for the Indian team, scoring 1986 runs at an average of 45.13, including 5 centuries and 13 half-centuries. However, he has played 72 T20I matches, in which he has scored 2265 runs at an average of 37.75, including two centuries and 22 fifties.
