Sai Sudharsan drops a massive statement on his match-winning knock against Delhi Capitals

After scoring an unbeaten 108 runs against the Delhi Capitals in the IPL on Sunday, Sai Sudharsan from the Gujarat Titans talked about how he’s improved as a batsman. He hit 108 off 61 balls at a strike rate of 177.05, with 12 fours and several sixes in his innings. His performance earned him the Player of the Match award. In the post-match interview, the 23-year-old expressed his excitement about helping his team win, mentioning that he had missed a few chances earlier this season. He said, It feels great to make the team win. After thinking about it during the break, it paid off today. They bowled really well during the 7-10 overs, so we just stayed calm and took the game deep. We had a couple of big overs from 12 to 13, which helped. In past matches, I took risks and got out too soon, but I focused more on the right matchups. I’m starting to believe in myself a bit more.

Sudharsan acknowledged that mentally, he’s improved as a batter and is working on his game against spinners. He added that he and Shubman Gill had a good understanding when running between the wickets, pointing out mistakes to each other to improve their game.

Recapping the match, the Titans’ skipper, Shubman Gill, won the toss and chose to field. The Delhi Capitals lost Faf du Plessis early but had a strong 90-run partnership between KL Rahul and Abishek Porel. They reached a total of 199/3 thanks to contributions from their middle order. On the bowling side, Sai Kishore, Prasidh Krishna, and Arshad Khan each took a wicket.

The Titans chased down the target with ease, thanks to a strong partnership of 205 runs between Gill and Sudharsan, with Gill scoring 93* off
