Royal Challengers Bangalore Twitter Account Has Been Hacked; Check Full Report

Indian Premier League franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Official Twitter account was hacked. Hackers changed the display picture and the profile name to “Bored Ape Yacht Club” and tweeted some NFT’s related posts. It also retweeted some of the other NFT’s related users.

Some users got to know the condition after seeing the NFT’s related tweets on the timeline. Till now, there is no official confirmation provided by the official of the RCB, and they haven’t taken down any content.

This is not the first time the RCB account has been hacked. In September 2021, its account was hacked, but the franchise restored it, after which they provided a full statement.

“Dear 12th Man Army, our Twitter account was compromised a few hours ago and we have now managed to get the access back. We condemn the tweet that the hackers put out and we do not endorse any content from that tweet, which we have now deleted. We regret the inconvenience caused,” RCB had tweeted back then.

Recently an incident happened to the International Cricket Council (ICC) in which they lost over 2.5 million dollars through some deception by scammers. As online fraud has been happening, big organizations should worry about their online platform and protect their assets from online fraud.
