Rohit Sharma’s Call for India-Pakistan Bilaterals , says “Totally believe “…

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma feels that the start of the bilateral series between India and Pakistan will provide a huge impetus to test cricket. India and Pakistan have not played against each other in a bilateral series for over a decade now due to political reasons.

India vs. Pakistan is one of the most anticipated clashes among cricket fans.

In a podcast, England’s skipper, Michael Vaughan, asked Rohit, “Don’t you think India playing Pakistan regularly will be fantastic for Test cricket?”

Rohit Sharma gave a heartwarming reply, saying, “I totally believe that they are a good team with a superb bowling line-up and a good contest if we play overseas. The last test was played way back in 2007–08.”

Rohit Sharma further added, “Yeah, I would love to play against Pakistan; it would be a great contest between the two sides. We play them in ICC trophies; pure cricket I am looking at; great contest, so why not?”.

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma also called speculations a fake of his meeting with Head Coach Rahul Dravid and Chairman of Selectors Ajit Agarkar regarding the World Cup squad discussion.

Talking about the same, Rohit Sharma said, “I haven’t met anyone. Ajit Agarkar is somewhere in Dubai playing golf, and Rahul Dravid is actually watching his kids play in Bengaluru. He [Dravid] was in Mumbai, but he got him [the son] to play on a red-soil wicket at CCI. That’s about it.”

Rohit Sharma further added, “We haven’t met, to be honest. I think in today’s day and age, unless you hear it from either myself, Rahul himself, Ajit himself, or someone from BCCI coming and talking in front of the camera, everything is fake.”
