Rohit Sharma, captain of the Indian cricket team once again registered a poor score with the bat as he was out for a mere 9 on Day 5 of the fourth Test against Australia in Melbourne, on Monday. The whole series has been pretty disappointing from Rohit in the ongoing five-match series and after the unfortunate dismissal off Pat Cummins, he has another unwanted record to his name. This was his sixth time of being dismissed by Cummins in Test cricket-the highest for any captain against the opposition captain in playing the longest form of the game. The star India batter has been suffering from much criticism from both fans as well as experts lately and another flop against Australia did not go well in his favor with calls going stronger for his retirement.
Rohit played quite patiently during India’s second innings in Melbourne but fell to a brilliant gully catch from Mitchell Marsh. A full delivery got the leading edge and flew quick towards Marsh who showed brilliant awareness and pulled off a sharp catch to add to Rohit’s misery.
