Rohit Sharma Broke The Huge Mile Stone Of Yuvraj Singh in The T20 World Cup

Indian captain Rohit Sharma has broken the prestigious record of Yuvraj Singh of most sixes in the T20 World Cup Tournament as an Indian cricketer.

In the second match of the super 12 against the Netherlands at SCG, the Indian skipper scored 53 runs off 39 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 7 fours. After hitting these 3 sixes, Rohit has a total of 34 sixes in his T20 World Cup career, and he surpassed Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh who had hit 33 sixes in his T20 World Cup tenure. Rohit Sharma is the only player who has played all the editions of the T20 World since its beginning in 2007.

Previously, Rohit won the toss against minnow Netherlands and decided to bat first. Indian opener KL Rahul was dismissed early in the second over and put up another disappointing performance in this World Cup. But skipper Rohit and run-machine Virat Kohli settled down on the crease and ensured that India didn’t lose any further wickets in the powerplay. In accelerating the run rate, the Indian captain started hitting every ball and was dismissed on 53 runs; after that Virat and Suryakumar established another good partnership and set the target of 180 runs on the board. From the Netherlands, Fred Klaassen and van Meekeren took 1-1 wickets each.
