Rohit Sharma achieves this massive milestone in T 20 cricket

Mumbai Indians batter Rohit Sharma has achieved the T20 cricket milestone of 12,000 runs, becoming the second Indian after Virat Kohli to achieve this monumental feat. Out of his total runs, 4,231 came from T20 internationals, with the remainder coming from the IPL and the Champions League.

Rohit was under pressure ahead of the IPL, as he had not been in form. He had a rather slow start to the league but made a comeback with an important half-century in the last game against Chennai Super Kings. Mumbai, thanks to his batting and Suryakumar Yadav’s half-century, won the match by nine wickets.

Against SRH, he displayed ample form in getting a half-century off just 35 balls. On the other hand, it was bad news for Hyderabad in the beginning with the openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma back to the pavilion scoring 0 and 8, respectively. Ishan Kishan came in at number three for just one run, and there were raised eyebrows over his dismissal as he walked back following an apparent misunderstanding.

At one point, Hyderabad found itself in dire straits at 35 for 5, seeing Klaasen and Abhinav Manohar do the repair work. Klaasen scored 71 off 44 balls while Manohar added 43 off 37, which kept the scoreboard ticking for Hyderabad, taking them to 143 for 8 at the end. Boult was the star of the bowling department, having picked up four wickets. Meanwhile, Mumbai put up a good show and is on for their fourth win of the season.
