“Riyan parag still has ego but..”Australian great makes a shocking verdict on Rajasthan royals star

Rajasthan Royals are the only team that has so far not lost a single game in this year’s IPL. The efforts from Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag, and Yuzi Chahal have helped them win four matches on Trott.

However, one of the biggest reasons for Rajasthan’s success is the kind of form that Riyan Parag has shown this year. The all-rounder has emerged as the biggest positive for the Rajasthan Royals heading into this season.

However, former Australian great brad Hogg still feels that Parag needs to channel his energy.

Brad Hogg said, “According to me, the Rajasthan Royals are the best-balanced team in the tournament. I like the way they have set up their entire lineup. If Sandeep Sharma can get fully fit as well, then he can add up as the sixth bowling option for them.

Hogg further added, “And I am really liking when I am seeing young (Riyan) Parag. He is the youngest player to hit a fifty in the history of the IPL. I love his energy, and I love the way he fields. I think he has really matured this year. Last year, I guess he had a bit of a strut on him. I don’t say this disrespectfully, but I think he had a bit of an ego last year. The ego is still there, but it is in control. He believes in himself, and he is now more worried about what he can do for the team than trying to seal his place in the team.”

Parag has been playing IPL since 2019 for the Rajasthan Royals, but they have shown the best of him in this year’s IPL. So far in four matches, Parag has scored 185 runs at an average of 92.50.
