Will India play three fast bowlers and two spinners or will they sit a spinner and add another fast bowler at Lord’s? The latter makes more sense given the venue. In the World Test Championship final between South Africa and Australia, the pitch helped the fast bowlers for most of the game till the last day when the sun came out and it became easy to bat. Lord’s isn’t great for spinners; fast bowlers do well there because it’s often cloudy. Still, India’s Test vice-captain Rishabh Pant isn’t saying what the bowling lineup will be.
Talking to the media before the game, Pant said they will decide on match day. We will find out tomorrow if it will be 3-1 or 3-2. The field can change in two days; the colour can change and there will be less water, said Pant.
Plus, the vice-captain isn’t worried about the conditions for the third Test, he said, We are okay with any condition. We don’t care what the other team is doing.
