Revealed: Yashasvi Jaiswal’s Formula For Double-Century Success

Rohit Sharma and company defeated Ben Stokes and men in the Rajkot test by a huge margin of 434 runs to take a 2-1 lead in the ongoing five-match series.

One of the heroes of Team India’s Rajkot triumph was Team India’s young batting sensation, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who went on to score his second double hundred of the series, a blastering 214 that was studded with 14 boundaries and 12 sixes.

However, on day three, Yashasvi Jaiswal retired hurt after suffering a pain in his lower back, which forced him to get retired hurt with a score of 105 on day three of the Rajkot test.

“It’s hard, Test cricket, I guess. So, I just make sure that if I’m there, I need to make sure in my mind that I will give my 100 percent. I didn’t want to [retire], but it was too much. The next day, I didn’t know how it was going to start. I had lots of thoughts in my mind. But again, when I came, I tried to give myself time, and after that, I felt really, really good,” Jaiswal said, as quoted from the ICC.

“Suddenly I got set, and I felt that I could score runs. I have my plans where I could play all my shots, and I tried… to get those runs. After some time, my back was not really good,” Jaiswal further added.
Jaiswal also praised team India’s head coach, batting coach Rahul Dravid, and Vikram Rathore for helping him develop as a player. Jaiswal said that he also keeps talking with senior players like Rohit Sharma and Rahul to improve his game.

Team India will take on England on February 23 for the fourth time in the test series.
