According to the most recent reports, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has been picked to portray India’s successful captain Sourav Ganguly on screen. The reports also suggest that as a part of his preparation, RK will soon travel to Kolkata and tour Ganguly’s home and Eden Gardens.
The film will be reportedly produced under Luv Ranjan Films. Earlier it has been reported that there had been some issues between the makers and the official team of Sourav Ganguly regarding the lead actor of the film but finally they are looking to settle with Ranbir Kapoor.
Earlier it was reported that Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Malhotra was also approached for the role when this particular project was announced way back in 2019.
Ranbir Kapoor has already played Sanjay Dutt in his blockbuster biopic Sanju and it is again a big challenge for him to fill the boots of Sourav Ganguly.
Earlier, Bollywood filmmakers have already showcased the biopic of former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Mohammed Azharuddin, Mithali Raj, and spinner Pravin Tambe.
