Rajasthan Royals bowling coach Shane Bond had massive praise for Riyan Parag after his stealthy performance with the bat against the Mumbai Indians. Riyan Parag scored 54* against the Mumbai Indians, helping his team defeat the Mumbai Indians by six wickets.
Praising Riyan Parag Shane Bond said, “He reminds me of Surya Kumar Yadav.”
Speaking at the post-match presentation, Shane Bond said that Parag has extreme talent and has matured as a player.
Bond said, “He sort of reminds me a little bit of Surya, who came to Mumbai a few years ago. He looks like that—he has extreme talent. He has just matured as a cricketer, even though he is only 22.”
Bond further said that this year, Rajasthan’s prime focus is to win more and more matches.
Speaking about the same, Bond said, “If your team is successful, you are on a winning team; selections and rewards come from that. That has more of been our focus—to forget about all that other noise from the outside and just work really hard for each other.”
