“Reece topley makes a Shocking claim on kohli’s dismissal”

RCB’s left-arm pace bowler has termed Virat Kohli’s dismissal as a grey area in cricket. Virat Kohli was not at all happy after he was dismissed on full toss by Harit Rana. The on-field umpire gave the decision out and further went on upstairs to check if there was any issue with the height.

The replay showed that Virat Kohli met with the ball way outside the crease when he connected the ball. The ball would have dipped if Kohli had stayed in his crease. However, Virat Kohli was not at all happy with the decision.

Speaking at his post-match presentation, Reece Topley said that no one would have taught that something like this could happen. Topley said that the measurements are taken when the batters are standing at the crease.

Reece Topley said,
“Obviously, those measurements are brought in to get rid of a gray area, and then you have something today that no one had thought of.”

Topley further added, “He (Kohli) was obviously out of his crease and the ball was over his hip high, then obviously he was out of his crease down the wicket. The measurement was taken with Virat inside the crease, so it’s a bit of a gray area. Obviously, it’s a fine margin and would be spoken about in a game where the victory margin is just one run.”

Royal Challengers Bangaluru have lost their sixth match of the season and are virtually out of the playoff race.

Topley said that the team is disappointed but will try to do well in the rest of the matches.

Reece Topley said, “It’s not absolute. We go about every game like we are going to win it and try our best. We can finish with seven games and look back and say it was a respectful campaign.”
