Record Alert: Jaiswal Becomes 2nd Opener In World Cricket History To Do This, Also Surpasses Shikhar Dhawan

The second Test match between India and West Indies is being played at Port Of Spain. In this match, the hosts West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Indian team has already scored 288 runs at the loss of four wickets after the game of Day 1.

In this match, skipper Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal once again started the inning on a positive note and added 139 runs for the first wicket. During this, both Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma achieved major milestones for their team.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has now come to the third position in terms of most runs by any Indian batter after the first two Test innings. Jaiswal has 228 runs. He scored 171 in the first test against West Indies and now in the second Test he got a solid fifty and scored 57 runs. During this, he surpassed Shikhar Dhawan(187, 23) who got 210 runs against Australia and Prithvi Shaw(134,70).

The number one position belongs to skipper Rohit Sharma who has 288 runs where he got 177 in the first match and 111* in the second.

Apart from this, Yashasvi Jaiswal also becomes the second batter in this world after David Lloyd to score more runs as an opener. Lloyd got 260 runs(46 and 214*) while Jaiswal has got 228 runs.
