The destructive batter from South Africa David Miller made history in South African cricket by becoming the first batsman from his country to achieve the milestone of 10,000 runs in T20 cricket.
The left-handed batsman accomplished this milestone during the SA20 2024 Eliminator, playing for the Paarl Royals against the Joburg Super Kings on Wednesday, February 7. This match was played at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
After David Miller, the other two batters who have the most T20 runs for the country are Faf du Plessis and AB de Villiers. Plessis has 9684 runs in T20 cricket while de Villiers has 9424 runs to his name.
After his innings of 47 runs in 40 balls against JSK, Miller became the 12th batsman to surpass the milestone of 10,000 runs in T20 cricket. Miller needed 28 runs to reach the 10,000-run milestone, and he achieved it quite comfortably.

Miller had a satisfactory batting campaign for the Royals where he gathered 240 runs from 10 matches at an average of 30 and a strike rate of 118.22. His highest score was an unbeaten 75 which he scored against the Pretoria Capitals at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.
