Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be up against Lucknow Super Giants for the fourth game of the season. The red army will now look to return to winning ways against the Lucknow Super Giants after facing a crushing defeat against KKR in their previous encounter.
Speaking ahead of the match, RCB’s head coach, Andy Flower, has asked his top five batters to step up in the match against LSG. Players like Maxwell, Green, and Faf du Plessis have still not been in their best form, which creates a lot of pressure on Virat Kohli.
Virat Kohli has been the lone warrior for RCB in their previous matches, bailing the team out of trouble on many occasions.
At the pre-match conference, Andy Flower said, “Our top five batsmen are yet to fire. There are big scores on offer at Chinnaswamy. So, once our big batsmen start scoring runs, I think we’ll see some of those big scores. I have absolutely no doubt about that.”
During the last two matches, the pitch in Bangaluru has offered grip for the spinners as well. However, Flower believes that on Tuesday, the pitch will remain the same throughout the match.
Speaking about the same, Andy Flower said, “To be honest, I expect the pitch to be a reasonable pitch tomorrow night. We scored 184 here a couple of nights ago, and that was chased down in 17 overs. So, there are big scores on offer, particularly with the venue being a little smaller. The ball travels here on the field too.”
The Red Army has not been able to make their home their fortress, unlike the Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. Out of 84 matches, RCB has won 40 and lost 41.
