RCB Could Not Win IPL With..’, Michael Vaughan Harsh Statement On Kohli’s Team After The Loss Against KKR

At M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore, the host lost the match against Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets. It was the second loss for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2024 IPL edition.

After the defeat of RCB at their home, ex-England captain Michael Vaughan expressed doubt about Bengaluru’s chances of winning the Indian Premier League title with their current bowling lineup. Despite registering their first win of IPL 2024 against Punjab, the team led by Faf du Plessis faced a 7-wicket loss to Kolkata, their long-time rivals, just days later. After this loss, RCB has now lowered to the sixth position in the points table of IPL 2024.

After the Bengaluru match, Vaughan posted on the ‘X,’ and stated that Virat Kohli and his team cannot win an IPL title with their current bowling lineup. Despite setting a target of 183 runs at home, Bengaluru couldn’t defend it, and Kolkata chased it down with 7 wickets and 19 balls to spare.

“Impossible for @RCBTweets to win the IPL with this bowling attack,” Vaughan posted on ‘X’.

Not only Michael Vaughan, Irfan Pathan also raised questions on RCB bowling and stated that the team needs to solve their issue as soon as possible.

In the match against KKR, Mohammed Siraj, Alzarri Joseph, and Yash Dayal had economy rates of over 10. Siraj conceded 46 runs in three overs with an economy rate of 15.33. Joseph conceded 34 runs in two overs with an economy rate of 17, and Dayal gave away 45 runs in four overs with an economy rate of 11.50.
