Rajat Patidar drops an unfiltered verdict on RCB’s failure at home

RCB captain Rajat Patidar admitted that their batting just wasn’t good enough, with wickets falling too quickly and not enough partnerships. He explained that they decided to leave Paddikal out because the conditions were tough for batters. Patidar stressed that the team needs to focus on batting better and reaching a decent score. He praised the bowlers for their strong effort and liked the batters’ attitude, even though they made some mistakes.

“It was tough at first—sticky and inconsistent—but we can definitely improve as a batting unit. Partnerships matter; losing wickets quickly is a lesson for us,” he said in the post-match talk. Tim David’s quick 50 off 25 balls helped RCB put up a total of 95 after a rough stretch where they lost seven wickets for just 42 runs. Josh Hazlewood bowled an amazing spell, taking 3 wickets for 14 runs, which gave RCB some hope. But Punjab Kings wrapped up the game with a five-wicket win with 11 balls left during the IPL at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. This loss marked RCB’s third straight defeat at home. The teams are set to play again on Sunday in Mullanpur.
