Rajat Patidar achieves this elusive milestone in IPL, leaving behind Sachin Tendulkar

Rajat Patidar hit a big milestone by scoring 1000 runs in the IPL in just 30 innings. He pulled this off during a match against Punjab Kings on Friday while leading the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. This makes him the second fastest Indian to reach this mark, only behind Sai Sudharsan from Gujarat Titans, who did it in 25 innings. Patidar surpassed legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who both took 31 innings to hit 1000 runs.

What’s special about Patidar is that he’s the first Indian to reach 1000 runs with an average over 35 and a strike rate above 150. This just shows how consistent he is, especially during tight moments, which puts him among the top Indian players in the T20 scene right now.

In the match, Punjab Kings won by five wickets in a game that was cut short by rain. RCB batted first and managed 95 runs for nine wickets in 14 overs, with Tim David scoring a quick 50 off 26 balls. In response, Punjab chased down the target in 12.1 overs, led by Nehal Wadhera’s 33 off 19 balls. Josh Hazlewood from RCB bowled well, taking 3 wickets for just 14 runs, but it wasn’t enough as RCB kept losing wickets regularly with Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Marco Jansen leading the charge for Punjab.
