R Sai Kishore from Gujarat Titans is confident that his spin partner Rashid Khan will find his form as the IPL season wraps up. Right now, Rashid isn’t having the best season with just six wickets in eight matches. But he shined in the recent game against Kolkata Knight Riders, recording 2/25, which is his best so far this season, and helped keep KKR to 159/8 while chasing 199 runs at Eden Gardens.
After the game, former England player Nick Knight asked Kishore about Rashid’s struggles this season. Kishore stood up for him, calling Rashid the best T20 bowler and saying the whole team believes he’ll bounce back as the tournament continues. He even took a jab at the commentators for doubting Rashid, while Knight echoed that he also wants to see Rashid perform well.
Kishore said, He’s one of the best T20 bowlers. He’s getting back to his wicket-taking form. We’ve got faith in him, and I still think he’s the best in the world. Knight agreed, saying they all want Rashid to succeed.
Looking at the match itself, Shubman Gill played a key role with a strong 90 off 55 balls, helping GT beat KKR by 39 runs. The team set a target of 198, thanks to Gill and Sai Sudharsan, who scored 52 and built a solid opening partnership. The bowlers did their job too, limiting Kolkata to 159-8 with Ajinkya Rahane being the standout batsman for KKR with 50 runs. After winning three titles last year, KKR has now lost five out of eight matches this season. Gujarat, on the other hand, celebrated their sixth win.
