R Jadeja Comeback: The Superstar All-rounder To Lead Saurashtra Against Tamil Nadu

A source from Sportstar has learned that Ravindra Jadeja would captain Saurashtra against Tamil Nadu on Tuesday in place of regular captain Jaydev Unadkat. His replacement is likely to be Arpit Vasavada.

Jadeja joined the group on Sunday and tweeted about his arrival in Chennai, where he plays for the IPL’s Chennai Super Kings.

Starting on January 24, the Ranji Trophy final will feature the 2019–20 champion in Chennai’s M. A. Chidambaram Stadium. For the upcoming game, Unadkat and Cheteshwar Pujara have been rested.

Jadeja will make his comeback to competitive cricket in the Elite Group B match after recovering from an injury with a knee injury in August 2022. Jadeja is playing in his first Ranji Trophy game since November 2018.

Jadeja will use this four-day match as a warm-up for the Test series after recently being selected to the 17-man Test squad for the first two Tests of the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India’s chance of making it to the WTC finals depends on how well they perform against Australia.

Saurashtra is currently in first place in its group with 26 points. The team is coming to this game after losing to Andhra Pradesh by a score of 150 runs at home.
