Prithvi Shaw receives massive advice from his Mumbai teammate, Check it out

Prithvi Shaw’s story in Indian cricket is a puzzle. People once thought he’d be the next Sachin Tendulkar, but his career stalled after a handful of games for India. It’s been rough lately, like not getting picked in the IPL auction and being left out of his Mumbai team. Shashank Singh, who plays for Punjab Kings and used to play with Shaw, shared his thoughts on what might be going wrong.

Shashank mentioned Prithvi Shaw when talking about future star openers for India, putting him in the same league as Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

When asked about Shaw’s struggles, Shashank said:

Prithvi Shaw is underrated. If he gets back to basics, he can do anything. I’ve known him since he was 13. He sees things a bit differently, Shashank said on a podcast.

Maybe he could adjust his work habits, like sleeping earlier or eating better, Shashank added.

If he can accept these things and make some changes, it would be great for Indian cricket, Shashank said.

Shashank did mention that Shaw probably already has plenty of people giving him advice.

Maybe he’s already working on it. He doesn’t need my advice. He probably has 10 people who know better giving him advice, Shashank said.

Shaw recently played in a T20 tournament.

He set his price at Rs 75 lakh for the IPL auction but didn’t get any offers.

On the flip side, things are going well for Shashank Singh. He had a great season with Punjab Kings in the IPL this year, scoring 354 runs with a strike rate close to 165.

He was the first player Punjab Kings kept for next season, at Rs 5.5 crore.

Shashank’s success even made him one of the most searched athletes on Google in 2024.

Shashank will be playing for Punjab Kings under Shreyas Iyer in the next IPL season, where the team will try to win their first title.
