Sunrisers Hyderabad scripted a famous victory over the Mumbai Indians the previous night as the orange army defeated the five-time IPL champion by 31 runs. After Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match, their opener, Travis Head, was pleased that he could score runs on both the on and off sides.
In his post-match presentation, Travis Head said, “Feeling good, the batting team has done an exceptional job in the last two games, and it feels good to contribute. It was very enjoyable tonight. We were aggressive in the first game as well; that is one thing we want to do at the top.
Head further added “I am pleased I could target both the off-side and leg-side. Earlier, I would just target the leg side. It is a great blueprint for us moving forward. I was pleased with how things worked out in the powerplay. They (MI) got so much power and experience as well. With 280-odd, I felt we had enough.”
The Mumbai Indians invited Sunrisers Hyderabad to bat first in the match. But the bowlers were not able to deliver for the Mumbai Indians as the orange army went on to score 277/3, with Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Henrich Klassen scoring half centuries for them.
For the Mumbai Indians, only Hardik Pandaya, Piyush Chawala, and Gerald Coetzee were the bowlers who picked up wickets.
