Jay Shah, who was the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), made history by becoming the new Chairman of the International Cricket Council. As he takes on this new role, there is a lot of talk about who will replace him at the BCCI.
Additionally, there is a search for someone to take over as the head of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). According to a report, Mohsin Naqvi, the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board, is the top candidate to become the new ACC leader.
A news report from PTI says that Naqvi is likely to replace Shah as the ACC boss, and an official announcement is expected later this year.
“During its meeting later this year, the ACC will confirm that Naqvi will become the next president for a two-year period,” said a source from PTI. “Once Jay Shah resigns, the PCB leader will assume the position.”
