PCB again tussles with ICC regarding the ICC champions trophy closing ceremony, Check out

The COO of the Pakistan Cricket Board has called out the ICC for messing up the final presentation ceremony of the Champions Trophy in Dubai. Even though PCB CEO Sumair Ahmed was at the event, no one from Pakistan was invited to speak on stage during the ceremony. Speaking at an event in Lahore, Sumair expressed his frustration, saying it was a clear case of mismanagement by the ICC. He mentioned that everyone knows who is responsible for it and that they didn’t take it well.

Sumair went to Dubai for the final because PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi told him to. He also mentioned that the ICC hasn’t given a proper answer to their request about what went wrong. We’ve asked for an explanation, but the reply wasn’t good enough, so we’ve sent another letter, he said.

While the BCCI secretary and NZ Cricket’s CEO were on stage with the BCCI president and ICC chairman, no representative from the host country was there. Sumair also pointed out an issue with the upgraded Gaddafi Stadium, noting that one of the roofs leaked during the match between Australia and Afghanistan. He blamed the contractor for that incident and said they are claiming damages since it was due to their work.
