Pat Cummins’ Hilarious Take on Bowlers’ Existential Crisis after run feast in RCB vs SRH game

Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Pat Cummins made a cheeky remark, saying that he wishes that he was a batter. Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 25 runs in a run feast.
After being invited to bat first, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 287 runs, which became the highest total in IPL history.

However, RCB too fought till the last moment, scoring 262 with the bat in their 20 overs.

After the match, when Cummins was asked about blowers becoming extinct in Twenty20 cricket, Cummins jokingly said, “Give me a few more years, please.”.

In his post-match presentation, Cummins said, “I felt like I was a batter. Against Mumbai a few weeks ago, I thought it wouldn’t happen again, but it has happened again. Give me a few more years, please (if bowlers go extinct)! It feels like you bowl an over for seven or eight, which feels great.”

Cummins also said that it was like a joy with which their batters approached their batting, expressing his delight to play with the same mindset in spite of changes in pitches and conditions.

“I’ve given up trying to read the pitches. Really happy with our cricket; four wins now; the freedom with which the batters are going out to play is great; and a few wily bowlers are doing the job as well.”
