“Pakistani Social Media Call Me Match Fixer But Countries Like India…” Wasim Akram’s Furious Comment On Pakistani People

Whenever cricket experts will discuss best pacer in the world then they will surely consider the name of former Pakistani pacer Wasim Akram. Former left-hand pacer is commonly known as the “master of the swing”. He has played approx. 900 international matches in which he took 414 test wickets whereas 502 dismissals in ODIs.

After the end of his cricketing career, Wasim became famous for his broadcasting role and blunt suggestions. He has also caoched many league teams in the world like in Indian Premier League, Pakistan Super League, etc.

Talking on the Wide World of Sports, he stated that the new social media generation of Pakistan called him a match-fixer, whereas he also stated that other cricketing nations like; India, England, Australia, West-Indies, etc. showed great love to me.
“In Australia, England, West Indies, and India, when they talk about the World XI, or when they talk about the best bowler in the world, my name always comes in the list. But in Pakistan, this social media generation, they are the ones who come down, every comment they send, they say, ‘oh, he is a match fixer’, not knowing what it was. I have passed that stage in my life where I have to worry about people” said former Pakistani Pacer.

Earlier in 1996, a match-fixing allegation was accused on Wasim Akram but the report submitted by the investigation committee in 2000 given him the benefit of doubt to Wasim Akram and fined him Rs. 300,000, and other cricketers like Salim Malik and Ata-ur-Rehman have been accused for crime of match-fixing.

Wasim Akram was part of the 1992 World Cup winning team and under his captaincy Pakistani team played in the finals of the 1999 world cup. He was the outstanding pacer of his time, he has played 104 test matches in which he grabbed 414 wickets, which is still the most wickets taken by any Pakistani bowler till today.
