Pakistan In Problem Before ODI World Cup, Star Bowler Likely To Be Ruled Out From The Tournament

Pakistan cricket has received unfortunate news before the ODI World Cup. The speedster, Naseem Shah is expected to be ruled out for the entire 2023 ODI World Cup due to a shoulder injury. The bowler recently went through a shoulder scan and it is more severe than it was expected. However, PCB is still trying their best to get this bowler fit in time.

If the results of the second scan mirror those of the initial one, Naseem Shah might face a separation from the game for a long time. The 20-year-old may be sidelined for the Test series against Australia scheduled for January 2024 and might also miss the Pakistan Super League (PSL) of 2024.

Naseem had to leave the field during Pakistan’s second match against India at the Asia Cup last week, specifically in the middle of the 46th over. Unfortunately, he was ruled out of the entire tournament due to this incident.

In the Asia Cup 2023, Zaman Khan was picked as the replacement of Naseem Shah.

Pakistan, who hosted the Asia Cup 2023, has been officially ruled out from the tournament. Now, India will face Sri Lanka in the final of the continental championship on September 17, Sunday.
